Author Guidelines
The Congress welcomes three categories of contributions:
-
Individual papers — 30 minutes, normally consisting of 20 minutes for the presentation in the presenter’s original language, followed by 10 minutes of multilingual and communal discussion.
-
Panels — 75 minutes, with a minimum of three and a maximum of six participants. Panel organizers are responsible for allocating the available time among presentations and discussion.
-
Posters — displayed during the Congress at designated times.
All proposals for papers and panels are subject to double-blind peer review.
Submissions close on 31 October 2026.
Please prepare your proposal using the official Submission Template provided for the Congress and follow the instructions contained in the template.
When submitting your proposal, please indicate the research axis to which it belongs. The research axes are those established in the Congress Call for Papers and should not be created independently by the author. If your proposal does not correspond to any of the current Congress themes or research axes, please enter “unrelated” in the research-axis field.
The Congress also welcomes proposals on topics unrelated to the Congress theme. Please note, however, that such contributions are not eligible for scholarship support.
If your proposal is approved, you will subsequently be required to adapt it into an extended abstract of no more than 2,000 words, following the separate Extended Abstract Template. The extended abstract will be the version prepared for publication in the Societas Liturgica Congress Proceedings.
Please use the Submission Template for the initial proposal and the Extended Abstract Template only after your proposal has been approved.
